Terms of sale
The offer and sale of products on our website (“ www.lunatigioielli.com “) are governed by these General Conditions of Sale. The products purchased on www.lunatigioielli.com are sold directly by LUNATI Srl (“the Seller”), with registered office in Italy, Via Trento, 7 – 15048 Valenza (AL), Reg. Imp., CF and VAT no. 00155200066. If you need further information, go to the Customer Service area. You can find information regarding orders and shipments, refunds and the return of products purchased on www.lunatigioielli.com . For any other legal information, consult the sections: General Conditions of Use, Privacy Policy and Right of Withdrawal.
OUR COMMERCIAL POLICY
1.1 The Seller offers products for sale on www.lunatigioielli.com and carries out its e-commerce activity exclusively towards its end users who are “consumers”.
1.2 When we talk about “consumer” we mean any natural person who acts on www.lunatigioielli.com for purposes not related to his/her commercial, entrepreneurial or professional activity, if any. If you are not a “consumer”, we invite you to refrain from concluding commercial transactions on www.lunatigioielli.com .
1.3 In consideration of its commercial policy, the Seller reserves the right not to process orders from persons other than the "consumer" or in any case orders that do not comply with its commercial policy.
1.4 These General Conditions of Sale exclusively regulate the offer, forwarding and acceptance of purchase orders for products on www.lunatigioielli.com between the users of www.lunatigioielli.com and the Seller.
1.5 The General Conditions of Sale do not regulate the supply of services or the sale of products by parties other than the Seller that are present on www.lunatigioielli.com via links, banners or other hypertext connections. We recommend that you check their conditions of sale before placing orders and purchasing products and services from parties other than the Seller, because the Seller is not responsible for the supply of services by third parties other than the Seller or for the conclusion of e-commerce transactions between users of www.lunatigioielli.com and third parties.
HOW TO CONCLUDE THE CONTRACT WITH THE SELLER
2.1 To conclude the purchase contract for one or more products on www.lunatigioielli.com , you must fill out the order form in electronic format and send it to the Seller, electronically, following the relevant instructions.
2.2 Before proceeding with the purchase of the products, by transmitting the order form, you will be asked to carefully read the General Conditions of Sale and the Information on the Right of Withdrawal, to print a copy using the print command and to save or reproduce a copy for your personal use. We will also provide you with a summary of the commercial and contractual conditions that we propose for the purchase of the products, which contains a reference to the General Conditions of Sale and a summary of the information on the essential characteristics of each product ordered with the relative price (including all applicable taxes or duties), the means of payment that you can use to purchase each product, the methods of delivery of the purchased products, the methods of handling complaints by the professional, the shipping and delivery costs; as well as the references and the geographic and e-mail address of the Seller and the date by which the Seller undertakes to deliver the goods. The Seller will also provide you with a summary of the conditions and methods for exercising your right of withdrawal and the methods and times for returning the purchased products (taken from the Return Form). You will also be given information about the circumstances in which you will lose the right to withdraw from the contract. If applicable to the purchase, you will be informed that, in the event of withdrawal, you will have to bear the cost of returning the products. In any case, you will be reminded of the existence of the legal guarantee of conformity of the products, you will be provided with the contact details of our after-sales service and we will remind you, finally, of the possibility of using the independent and institutional conciliation service, RisolviOnline, provided by the Arbitration Chamber of the Chamber of Commerce of Alessandria.
2.3 In the order form, displayed immediately before the conclusion of the purchase contract, we will provide you with summary information about the essential characteristics of each product ordered, the price (including all applicable taxes or duties) and shipping costs (including any additional costs incurred by you for having chosen a type of shipping and delivery different and/or faster than the standard one). The contract is concluded when the Seller receives, electronically, your order form, after verifying the correctness of the data relating to your order.
2.4 The order form will be stored in our database for the period of time necessary to process the orders and in any case within the terms of the law.
2.5 When proceeding with the transmission of the order form, you will be warned that such forwarding implies the obligation to pay the indicated price. Before proceeding with the transmission of the order form, you will also be asked to identify and correct any errors in data entry.
2.6 The languages available for concluding the contract with the Seller are Italian and English.
2.7 Once the contract has been concluded, the Seller will take charge of your purchase order.
2.8 The Seller may not process your purchase orders that do not provide sufficient guarantees of solvency or that are incomplete or incorrect or in the event of unavailability of the products. In these cases, we will inform you by email that the contract has not been concluded and that the Seller has not followed up on your purchase order, specifying the reasons. If the products presented on www.lunatigioielli.com are no longer available or on sale at the time of your last access to the site or when you sent the order form, the Seller will inform you promptly and in any case within thirty (30) days from the day following the day on which you sent your order to the Seller, of the possible unavailability of the products ordered. In the event of forwarding the order form and payment of the price, the Seller will refund, without undue delay, the amount already paid by you and the contract will be considered terminated between the parties.
2.9 By electronically transmitting the order form, you unconditionally accept and undertake to observe, in your dealings with the Seller, these General Conditions of Sale. If you do not agree with some of the terms set out in the General Conditions of Sale, we invite you not to submit the order form for the purchase of products on www.lunatigioielli.com .
2.10 By submitting the order form, you confirm that you know and accept the General Conditions of Sale and the additional information contained in www.lunatigioielli.com , also referred to via links, including the General Conditions of Use and the Privacy Policy and the Information on the Right of Withdrawal.
2.11 Once the contract has been concluded, the Seller will send you, by email, a receipt of the purchase order, containing the General Conditions of Sale and the summary document on the Right of Withdrawal and therefore, all the information already contained in the summary of the commercial and contractual conditions displayed before proceeding with the purchase.
WARRANTIES AND INDICATION OF PRODUCT PRICES
3.1 On www.lunatigioielli.com , only products bearing the LUNATI brand are offered for sale and purchased directly by the Seller from the fashion house and/or the manufacturer authorised by the fashion house.
3.2 The Seller does not sell used, irregular or lower quality products than the corresponding standards offered on the market.
3.3 The essential characteristics of the products are presented on www.lunatigioielli.com within each product sheet. The images and colours of the products offered for sale on www.lunatigioielli.com may however not correspond to the real ones due to the Internet browser and monitor used.
3.4 Product prices may be subject to change. Make sure of the final sale price before submitting the relevant order form.
3.5 Purchase requests from countries not included among those displayed on the splash page cannot be accepted by the Seller.
3.6 All products are provided with an identification tag fixed with a disposable seal. We ask you not to remove the tag and the relative seal from the purchased products, of which they constitute an integral part
3.7 The Seller, in the event of the exercise of your right of withdrawal, has the right to not accept the return or not to fully refund the sums paid for the purchase, in relation to those products that are missing the relevant tag or that have been altered in their essential and qualitative characteristics or that have been damaged, as better clarified in paragraph 7.10.
PAYMENTS
4.1 To pay the price of the products and the related shipping and delivery costs, you can follow one of the methods indicated in the order form. In no case will you be charged costs greater than those actually incurred by the Seller, in relation to the payment instrument chosen by you.
4.2 In case of payment by credit card, the financial information (for example, the credit/debit card number or its expiration date) will be forwarded, via encrypted protocol, to Unicredit or other banks, which provide the related remote electronic payment services, without third parties being able to access them in any way. Furthermore, such information will never be used by the Seller except to complete the procedures relating to your purchase and to issue the relevant refunds in the event of any returns of the products, following the exercise of your right of withdrawal, or if it becomes necessary to prevent or report to the police the commission of fraud on www.lunatigioielli.com . The price for the purchase of the products and the shipping costs, as indicated in the order form, will be charged to your current account at the time of shipment of the purchased products. The processing of personal data is treated in reference to Legislative Decree 101/2018 of the Italian legislation on privacy (EU reg. 679/2016, GDPR).

SHIPPING AND DELIVERY OF PRODUCTS
You can choose to receive the items you have purchased at the address you choose or at the Lunati headquarters.
If you have chosen the delivery method to the main office, we will notify you of the arrival of the products at the office by email. In this case you will have to collect the purchased items by presenting yourself at the office, no later than 10 working days from the sending of the aforementioned communication. In the event of failure to collect the products within the above-mentioned term of 10 working days, the purchase contract will be considered, for all purposes, automatically terminated. Consequently, it will no longer be possible to collect the products. As a result of the termination of the purchase contract of the products, you will then be reimbursed for the amount paid, within the timeframes set out in the following paragraph 7.10.
When you go to the Lunati office to collect your order, you will need to show a copy of the shipping confirmation email and show your identification document. If you have someone else collect your order, this person will need to show, in addition to the shipping confirmation email, a photocopy of your identification document along with the authorization and his/her identification document.
We remind you that it is not possible to make the payment at the point of sale. Therefore, the cash on delivery option is not foreseen if you choose delivery to the main office.
If you have chosen the delivery method to the main office, the delivery times and costs are the same as those foreseen for deliveries to the chosen address.
To find out all the specific shipping and delivery methods for the products, go to the Customer Service section. Please pay attention to what is reported in this section because the information contained therein forms an integral and substantial part of these General Conditions of Sale and, therefore, are considered to be fully known and accepted by you at the time of transmission of the order form.

RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL
7.1 You have the right to withdraw from the contract concluded with the Seller, without any penalty and without specifying the reason, within fourteen (14) days from the day of receipt by courier of the products purchased on www.lunatigioielli.com , or, if at the time of purchase you have selected “Collect at the main office” (if available), from the date of notification of delivery of the order to the point of sale. In some specific cases, duly reported in the Right of Withdrawal section, it will be possible to exchange the chosen item for another.
7.2 To withdraw from the contract you can use the Return Form (compliant with the standard form pursuant to art. 49, paragraph 4 of the Consumer Code) to be filled in and sent directly online through www.lunatigioielli.com , or draft and send to the Seller another explicit declaration of your decision to withdraw from the contract. If you choose to use the Return Form to be sent directly online through www.lunatigioielli.com , the Seller will send you confirmation by email that the withdrawal request has been received. If you choose, instead, to send another withdrawal declaration, the burden of proving the correct and timely exercise of the right of withdrawal will fall on you.
7.3 Once you have exercised the right of withdrawal from the contract, you must return the products to the Seller by handing them over to the courier for shipment within fourteen (14) days from when you communicated to the Seller your decision to withdraw from the contract.
7.4 The only costs you will have to bear are those for returning the products purchased, unless the Seller has expressly exempted you from such costs at the time of purchase and on the further condition that you use the carrier indicated by the Seller in the Return Form.
7.5 If you decide to use the courier indicated by the Seller in the Return Form, you will not have to pay the costs, at your expense, of returning the purchased products yourself. The payment of the costs of returning the purchased products will be made, on your behalf, directly by the Seller, who will therefore release you from any payment obligation towards the courier. In fact, the Seller, for the payment of the return, will withhold from the refund a lump sum equal to the standard shipping cost of the purchased products. Furthermore, from the moment of returning the purchased products to the courier indicated by the Seller in the Return Form, the Seller exempts you from any liability in the event of loss or damage to the products during transport.
7.6 If you decide to use a shipping method other than the one indicated by the Seller in the Return Form, you will instead have to pay the costs, at your expense, for returning the purchased products. In this case, an amount equivalent to the cost of standard shipping of the purchased products will also be refunded, while any additional costs incurred by you for having chosen a type of shipping and delivery different and/or faster than the standard one will not be refunded. In this case, you may remain responsible for any loss or damage to the products during transport, which is due to your negligent choice of carrier and/or shipping methods.
7.7 The Right of Withdrawal – in addition to compliance with the terms and conditions described in the previous points 7.1, 7.2, 7.3 and 7.4 – is deemed to have been correctly exercised if the following conditions are also fully respected:
- a. the Return Form sent directly online through www.lunatigioielli.com or other explicit declaration of your decision to withdraw from the contract must be correctly completed and sent to the Seller within fourteen (14) days of receiving the products;
- b. the products must not have been used, worn, washed;
- c. the identification tag must still be attached to the products with the disposable seal which forms an integral part of the item;
- d. products must be returned in their original packaging;
- e. the returned products must be delivered to the carrier within fourteen (14) days from when you communicated to the Seller your decision to withdraw from the contract;
- f. the products must not be damaged.
7.8 If the Right of Withdrawal is exercised following the methods and terms indicated in this paragraph 7, the Seller will refund any sums already collected for the purchase of the products according to the methods and terms provided.
7.9 The sums will be refunded to you as soon as possible and, in any case, within fourteen (14) days from the date on which the Seller became aware of the exercise of your right of withdrawal, we will activate the refund procedures, once the correct execution of the terms and conditions indicated above has been verified, as indicated in paragraph 8.
7.10 If the terms and conditions for exercising your right of withdrawal, as per letters a), e) and f) of the previous paragraph 7, are not respected, you will not be entitled to a refund of the sums already paid to the Seller. Within 14 days of sending the email with which you will be notified of the non-acceptance of the return, you can choose to get back, at your own expense, the products in the state in which they were returned to the Seller, by notifying the Seller himself, according to the methods that will be communicated to you. Otherwise, the Seller may retain the products, in addition to the sums already paid for their purchase.
If the conditions set out in letters b), c) and d) of the previous paragraph 7.7 are not met, you will not be entitled to a full refund of the sums already paid to the Seller. In fact, you will be responsible for the decrease in value of the returned products, resulting from use other than that authorised by the Seller for the purpose of allowing you to ascertain the nature, characteristics and functioning of the products themselves. In this case, a percentage between 10 and 90 percent of the sums paid by you to the Seller for the purchase of the returned products will be deducted from the expected refund, as specifically communicated to you by email by the Seller. Within 14 days of sending the email with which you will be notified of the sum deducted from the refund, you may choose to obtain, at your own expense, the products in the state in which they were returned to the Seller, by notifying the Seller, according to the methods that will be communicated to you. Otherwise, the Seller may retain the products and an amount corresponding to the percentage deducted from the refund.

REFUND TIMES AND METHODS
8.1 After the return of the products, the Seller will carry out the necessary checks regarding their conformity to the conditions and terms indicated in paragraph 7. If the checks are concluded positively, the Seller will send you, via email, the relevant confirmation of acceptance of the returned products. If the checks are not concluded positively, the Seller will inform you, via email, of the found existence of a decrease in value of the returned products, resulting from your failure to comply with the conditions set out in letters b) c) and d) of the previous paragraph 7.3. At the same time, the Seller will also inform you of the amount that will be deducted from the sums paid by you for the purchase of the returned products; without prejudice, alternatively, to the possibility of re-obtaining, at your expense, the products in the state in which they were returned to the Seller, as provided for in the previous paragraph 7.10.
8.2 Whatever the payment method used by you, the refund, whether full or partial, is activated by the Seller, as quickly as possible and in any case within fourteen (14) days from the date on which the Seller became aware of the exercise of your right of withdrawal, after verifying the correct execution of your right of withdrawal and checking the returned products.
8.3 The Seller will refund you using the same means of payment you used to purchase the returned products, unless you have expressly agreed with the Seller to use a different means of payment and provided that you do not incur any additional costs as a consequence of the refund. If there is no correspondence between the recipient of the products indicated in the order form and the person who made the payment of the sums due for their purchase, the refund of the sums, in the event of exercising the right of withdrawal, will be made by the Seller, in any case, to the person who made the payment.
8.4 The value date of the refund is the same as the debit; consequently, you will not suffer any loss in terms of bank interest.
8.5 The Seller indicates DHL, POSTE ITALIANE or other specialized shipping agents as the shipping agent for the return of the products. Through DHL, POSTE ITALIANE or other shipping agents using the pre-printed adhesive label attached to the package containing the products, you can return the products to the Seller, without having to pay the necessary costs yourself. According to the methods and terms provided for the exercise of the right of withdrawal, this method allows the Seller to directly pay, on your behalf, the costs of returning the purchased products, freeing you from any payment obligation towards the shipping agent. This method also allows you to check, at any time, where each package is located, freeing you from any liability in the event of loss or damage to the products during transport
8.6 If you decide to use a different shipping agent than the one indicated by the Seller to return the products, you will have to pay the necessary costs yourself and you will be responsible for any liability in the event of loss or damage to the products during transport, according to the methods and terms provided for exercising the right of withdrawal.

9.2 We also ask you to read, if you have not already done so, our General Conditions of Use because they contain important information on how we process the personal data of our users and on the security systems adopted.

APPLICABLE LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION
10.1 The General Conditions of Sale are governed by Italian law and in particular by Legislative Decree no. 206 of 6 September 2005, on the consumer code in Chapter I “Consumer rights in contracts”, with specific reference to the legislation on distance contracts and by Legislative Decree no. 70 of 9 April 2003 on certain aspects concerning electronic commerce.
10.2 In the event of disputes between the Seller and each end user, arising from the General Conditions of Sale, the Seller guarantees, from now on, full adhesion and acceptance of the RisolviOnline conciliation service. RisolviOnline is an independent and institutional service, provided by the Arbitration Chamber of the Chamber of Commerce of Alessandria, which allows you to reach a satisfactory agreement, with the help of a neutral and competent conciliator, on the Internet. For more information on the RisolviOnline regulations or to send a conciliation request, access RisolviOnline.com.
10.3 We also inform you that the European Commission provides a platform for the alternative extra-judicial resolution of disputes, accessible on the website http://ec.europa.eu/odr .
MODIFICATION AND UPDATE
The General Conditions of Sale are modified from time to time also in consideration of any regulatory changes. The new General Conditions of Sale will be effective from the date of publication on www.lunatigioielli.com .
Right of withdrawal
The purpose of LUNATI (“the Seller”) is to guarantee your complete satisfaction. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your order, you can exercise your right of withdrawal, without any penalty, within 14 days from the day you received the products purchased on www.lunatigioielli.com, or, if at the time of purchase you selected “Collect at the main office” (if available), from the date of notification of delivery of the order to the point of sale.
The products to be returned must be delivered to the courier within fourteen (14) days from the date on which you communicated to the Seller your decision to withdraw from the contract. The products can be returned by shipping the package via the courier indicated by the Seller, or via another shipping agent, only after having filled out the RETURN FORM (compliant with the standard form pursuant to art. 49, paragraph 4 of the Consumer Code) that you can find online in the Customer Service area to obtain the return number (the Seller will send you confirmation by email of receipt of the withdrawal request sent via the Return Form), or after having drawn up and sent to the Seller another explicit declaration of your decision to withdraw from the contract, without prejudice, in this second hypothesis, to the fact that you will be responsible for proving the correct and timely exercise of the right of withdrawal.
CONDITIONS FOR THE EXERCISE OF THE RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL
The right of withdrawal is considered to be correctly exercised if the following conditions are fully respected:
- a. the Return Form sent directly online through www.lunatigioielli.com or other explicit declaration of your decision to withdraw from the contract must be correctly completed and sent to the Seller within fourteen (14) days of receiving the products;
- b. the products must not have been used, worn, washed;
- c. the identification tag must still be attached to the products with the disposable seal which forms an integral part of the item;
- d. products must be returned in their original packaging;
- e. the returned products must be delivered to the carrier within fourteen (14) days from when you communicated to the Seller your decision to withdraw from the contract;
- f. the products must not be damaged.
If you have complied with all the required conditions, the Seller will refund you in full the price of the products purchased, with you only being responsible for the return costs, i.e. those for returning the purchased products to the Seller, unless the Seller has expressly exempted you from such costs at the time of purchase and on the further condition that you use the carrier indicated in the Return Form.
If you decide to use the courier chosen by LUNATI to ship the purchased products, you will not, however, have to pay the return costs yourself; LUNATI will pay the courier on your behalf, withholding from the refund an amount equal to the cost previously incurred for the delivery of the purchased products.
If you decide to use a different shipping company, you will have to pay the return costs yourself. You will be contacted if your return cannot be accepted because it does not comply with the conditions set out above in letters a), e) and f) of the previous paragraph. In this case, you can choose to have the purchased products returned at your expense.
In the event that you refuse this shipment, LUNATI reserves the right to retain the products and the amount corresponding to the purchase price of the products. You will also be contacted if your return cannot be accepted because it does not comply with the conditions set out above in letters b), c) and d) of the previous paragraph. In this case, you can choose whether to accept the reduction in the refund, which will be communicated to you, due to the decrease in value of the returned products, or whether to have the purchased products returned at your expense.
In case you refuse this shipment, LUNATI reserves the right to retain the products and the amount indicated for the reduction of the refund, due to the decrease in value of the returned products.
REFUND TIMES AND METHODS
After the Seller has received your return and checked that all the requirements have been met, you will receive an email confirming acceptance of the return, or, if a decrease in value of the returned products is found, you will receive an email informing you of the amount deducted as a reduction in the refund. Whatever the payment method you used (credit/debit card or cash on delivery), the refund is activated by the Seller as soon as possible, and in any case within fourteen (14) days from the date on which it became aware of the exercise of your right of withdrawal, once it has been verified that the withdrawal has taken place in compliance with the conditions set out above.
The actual time for the crediting or refund of the sums paid by you for the purchase of the products depends on the payment methods used:
- credit/debit card purchase: the refund time depends on the credit/debit card company, but usually occurs within two bank statements. Please note that the value date of the refund is the same as the debit, so you will not suffer any loss in terms of bank interest.
- purchase via PayPal (if available): the refund will be made to your PayPal account and will be visible immediately. The actual refund to your credit card from your PayPal account depends on the institution that issued the card.
- cash on delivery: the refund will be made to the current account you indicated, so the refund time depends on the accuracy of the data you enter; normally the re-credit will occur within fourteen (14) days.
PRODUCT IDENTIFICATION TAG
All products offered for sale by the Seller are provided with an identification tag fixed with a disposable seal, which is an integral part of the product. We invite you to try the product without removing the tag and the relative seal because returned products without them will not be accepted.
CONDITIONS FOR REPLACING PRODUCTS
In some specific cases, duly reported in the Return Form, you will have the possibility of replacing the purchased products with other products, instead of obtaining a refund of the relative price.
The request for replacement will take place within the limits set out below:
- a. only those products purchased for which this possibility is expressly provided for in the Return Form through the wording “REPLACEMENT” may be the object of replacement;
- b. you may request the replacement of one or more of the products purchased only with products of the same model, with different size and/or color combinations. In any case, the options available for the replacement will be indicated in the Return Form;
- c. you may request the replacement of one or more products purchased within and no later than fourteen (14) calendar days from the date of their delivery, by completing the Return Form, to be sent electronically to LUNATI within the aforementioned deadline. The products to be replaced must be delivered to the courier within fourteen (14) calendar days from the date of their delivery;
- d. you will be able to make only one replacement request for each product purchased;
- e. the products for which you request a replacement must be returned to LUNATI in their original packaging, unused, unworn, unwashed or damaged and the identification tag must still be attached with the disposable seal;
- f. products to be replaced and belonging to a single order must be sent to LUNATI in a single shipment. In fact, LUNATI reserves the right not to accept products from the same order, sent for replacement at different times.
If all the above conditions are correctly respected, once the Return Form containing your replacement request has been filled out and sent, LUNATI will take charge of the same replacement request by sending you a confirmation email to this end.
TIMES AND METHODS TO OBTAIN A REPLACEMENT
After LUNATI has received the products you intend to replace and checked that all the above requirements have been met, LUNATI will verify the actual availability of the products in its warehouses in the new size and/or color combination you have selected.
In the event that the product or products selected for replacement are not available in its warehouses, LUNATI will not be able to accept your request for replacement and will therefore proceed to refund you the price of the product or products originally purchased and not replaceable, according to the methods set out in sections I and II of this information notice.
In the event that the product or products selected for replacement are available, LUNATI may accept your request for replacement and will therefore send you an email confirming the shipment of the replaced products. In this case, shipment will take place within thirty (30) days from the date on which LUNATI became aware of your request for replacement, once it has been verified that the request has been made in compliance with the conditions set out above.
Shipping costs for the replaced products will be borne by LUNATI, which will choose the relevant carrier. Where the price of the purchased product is lower or higher than the price of the product selected for replacement, you will not be entitled to any refund and/or surcharge for the difference.
You will be contacted if your replacement request cannot be accepted because it does not comply with the conditions above. In this case, you can choose to have the products you intended to replace back at your expense. In the event that you refuse this shipment, LUNATI reserves the right to retain the products and the corresponding amount for their purchase.
The replaced product or products may be subject to subsequent return pursuant to and within the limits set out in the previous Sections I and II.

Returns can be sent via the courier indicated by the Seller, using the pre-printed adhesive label that you will find inside your package. This method will allow the Seller to pay, on your behalf, the shipping and to check at any time where your package is.
Contact the carrier to arrange collection. If you decide to use a carrier other than the one indicated by the Seller to return the products, you will have to pay the return costs yourself and you will be responsible for any loss or damage to the products during transport.

Each stone is purchased by Lunati srl exclusively from suppliers who adhere to the Kimberly Process Scheme , an agreement signed with the UN, governments, the diamond sector and non-governmental organizations, to prevent diamonds from conflict areas from being used for illegal purposes.
The stones can only be exported to another country that is part of the process. Each time diamonds change hands, they must be accompanied by a guarantee affixed to the sales invoice.
