While the diamond industry has historically been associated with conflict and exploitation, a number of proactive measures have now been taken to combat this .

In particular, Lunati purchases each stone exclusively from suppliers who adhere to the Kimberly Process Scheme , an agreement signed with the UN, governments, the diamond sector and non-governmental organizations to prevent diamonds from conflict areas from being used for illegal purposes.
The stones can only be exported to another country adhering to the process. Each time the diamonds change hands they must be accompanied by a guarantee affixed to the sales invoice.
